Staff in the Oncology Unit are grateful that Patricia Comrie, who recently retired, is coming back a few days a week to assist the team. Patricia started working in the NHS in 1977 as an office junior at the former Board headquarters in Spittal Street in Stirling before working in various administration roles, including spells with physiotherapy and the X-Ray department.
In 2019, she moved to work in the Oncology Unit to become Core Cancer Team and Palliative Care Administrator where she was a highly valued member of the team. Her colleagues are delighted she is coming back to work part-time and said it would have been big boots to fill if she had decided to give up work entirely.
