An NHS Forth Valley consultant was also recently recognised by the UK Faculty of Public Health (FPH).
Dr Alex Stirling received the Littlejohn Gairdner Prize after showing considerable potential in making a contribution to public health in Scotland.
The award focuses on work that develops the concepts and policy of public health and shows ‘originality, rigour and benefits to health.’
