Psychological Therapies Staff Take to the Road

Gino, Fred and Gordon eat your heart out! Three of your fans, who work in NHS Forth Valley Psychological Therapies decided to follow in your footsteps recently when they made a successful bid in a charity auction for a three night holiday in a six berth motorhome.

The hire was donated by Central Motorhome Scotland and when they went along to book dates and the owner discovered they worked for the NHS, the company threw in another night for free.

The intrepid trio – Karin Pearson, Michele Finlay and Gillian Burns – say they want to highlight the generosity of the people of Forth Valley. The fundraising event, which was organised by Karin’s husband Sean, raised more than £5,000 for Maggie’s Forth Valley, and was held in support of a terminally ill friend, Cameron (Cammy) Shanks, a former police dog handler. Cammy himself has already raised more than £60,000 for Maggie’s since his cancer diagnosis.

The three staff are now looking forward to their journey in the beginning of June and have already planned their itinerary which includes a trip to the Lake District.
