Resus Team Help Young Carers Learn Lifesaving Skills for BBC Scotland

NHS Forth Valley’s Resuscitation Team played a key role in supporting a number of local young carers as they learned vital CPR skills for The LAB on BBC Scotland, an outreach project designed to develop digital media literacy by working with a diverse range of groups to create their own content.

Working closely with the programme team, the resus educators provided clear, practical guidance to help the young carers build confidence in recognising cardiac arrest, calling for help and delivering effective chest compressions. Their expertise ensured the training was safe, engaging and empowering, giving the young carers the knowledge and confidence to act in an emergency and helping to raise awareness of lifesaving skills through the programme.
