Robbie Duffy joined the NHS as a nursing student and then became a staff nurse before undertaking her midwifery training and subsequently working as a midwife in the Maternity Unit Falkirk Royal Infirmary. Robbie progressed to Department Manager not long after the maternity unit was moved to Stirling Royal Infirmary in 2003. She became Service Manager for the Women and Children’s unit in 2012 and continued in this role until 2018 when she took on the role of Interim General Manager until her retirement.

Robbie met her husband Pat during her nurse training, Her son Shaun is now married to Stacey and Robbie became a grandmother to Erin in 2017, whom she adores and plans to spend more time with. Robbie and Pat love their holidays in Lanzarote, Portugal and Ireland and plan to continue visiting these places in her retirement.

Many colleagues linked with Robbie in her final working days to reminisce and congratulate her on her retirement. She has been a great asset to NHS Forth Valley, a respected mentor, friend, and work colleague who will be missed by all.
