Spring Arrives at Stirling Health and Care Village

We’ve had poppies, Christmas baubles and now it’s wildflowers that are on show as part of a yarn bombing exercise to improve the outdoor space at Stirling Health and Care Village.

With plans this spring to leave the grassed areas uncut to support wildlife, people were asked to make wildflowers which have been ‘planted’ on green bamboo sticks until the real wildflowers are established.

Following an appeal in the last issue of Staff News, a range of hand crafted ‘flowers’ were donated by our creative staff.

Completed creations (knitted, crocheted, sewn and even made from plastic) can still be handed in at anytime or placed in a box to the left of the RVS café, opposite the Green Room in the main outpatient building.

There are lots of free patterns on the internet but you can also email Elaine Cochrane (elaine.cochrane@nhs.scot) for copies.
