Colleagues recently attended BFI Managers Training, a UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative leadership session designed to strengthen understanding of infant feeding standards and how they are implemented across services.

At the end of the training, participants developed individual pledges outlining how they will raise the profile of the Baby Friendly Initiative within their own areas, support staff to embed and sustain the standards in practice and contribute to a culture that promotes and protects optimal infant feeding.

This work will support services in progressing towards Achieving Sustainability and Gold Accreditation with the Baby Friendly Initiative.
