Our inpatient dietetic service provided a fantastic insight into the paediatric and adult diabetes services during a recent patient safety conversation visit. The team explained how they support patients, both in hospital and in the community, and how they work together as a multidisciplinary team – sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Cllr Wendy Hamilton (Non-Executive board member) and Kevin Reith (Director of People) were delighted to hear from the team about recent quality improvement projects which have helped improve the physical and mental health of local patients and their families.
Kevin Reith said: “The team demonstrated real enthusiasm and are spurred on by the difference they are making. I’d like to thank everyone involved in supporting the visit and making members of our Board and Senior Leadership team feel very welcome.”
