Patient Safety Conversation Visits provide an opportunity for front line staff to have a conversation focusing on patient safety with members of our NHS Board.

Allan Rennie (Vice Chair) and Prof Frances Dodd (Executive Nurse Director) were joined by Lynda Bennie (Head of Clinical Governance) on Thursday 2nd November 2023 to undertake a Patient Safety Conversation Visit to the Acute and Clinical Assessment Units at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

They received a very warm and enthusiastic welcome from the clinical team who were keen to share their journey over the last 12 months. The visiting team were given a tour of the areas and had the opportunity to speak to frontline staff working within the units, as well as viewing some of the recent examples of quality improvement and learning displayed on information boards. All involved are looking forward to the follow up visit to the units in 6 months to review the actions agreed at this visit.

Allan Rennie, Vice-Chair of NHS Forth Valley, said: “I would like to thank local staff for taking the time to talk to us about their achievements and challenges as well as giving us the opportunity to hear more about a number of changes and improvements being taken forward across both areas.”
