Teddies Knitted with Love

If you go down to the ward today you may be in for a big surprise, the arrival of a group of tiny teddies tucked into cots and beds to keep little ones company.

Fifty ‘Trauma Teddies’ were dropped off by Karen McGillvray from Avonbridge near Falkirk, who runs Scottish Trauma Teddies.

Each takes around five hours to knit using odd scraps of wool and are designed to provide a little source of comfort at a traumatic time as sometimes a cuddle and a hug can make all the difference.
