Kevin McCloskey, Senior Charge Nurse and the Fracture Clinic team recently welcomed some new Droids (cast saws) to the department.
They were procured through the Medical Physics department as part of an equipment replacement programme.
Due to their rather scary appearance, staff decided to give them names of famous Sci Fi characters to help make them less frightening to patients, big and small who attend the department to have their casts removed following fractures and other injuries.
