Dana McGuigan, Operational Support Manager for Emergency Care & Inpatient services, recently completed her degree in Business Management with Leadership at the Open University. Dana has worked incredibly hard over the last three years to achieve this whilst also continuing to progress in her career within NHS Forth Valley. Colleagues say she is a total asset to the team and wanted to congratulate her for this great achievement.

Two members of the Microbiology Team have had recent exam success in their Professional Institute of Biomedical Science Exams (IBMS).

Joanne Lyon, recently appointed Point of Care Lead and Shona Traynor, Microbiology Deputy Manager, were successful in passing the IBMS Higher Specialist Diploma Exams in Leadership and Management and becoming Fellows of the IBMS.

In addition, Shona was awarded the IBMS Company Members Prize, for attaining the highest marks out of all United Kingdom candidates in the Leadership & Management Exam. Shona was presented with her award at the recent IBMS Annual General Meeting in Newcastle. She is pictured receiving her award from IBMS President, Debra Padgett.
