Train To Be A Peer Supporter

The Peer Support logo

Would you like to join our growing volunteer network of trained Peer Supporters across NHS Forth Valley providing a listening ear to colleagues in your area?

The next one-day online training is on 15th November 2023.

We now have Peer Supporters in several areas and with your help we hope to make this available to more staff. Currently, Peer Support is only available to individuals in areas with a trained Peer Supporter.

As a Peer Supporter, you will offer confidential, informal one-to-one support to a colleague going through challenges at work or home, signposting them to other sources of help, if needed.

Staff in any role or service area can apply. It is vital your manager supports your application as you will need time to attend training and monthly reflective practice sessions and to hold supportive conversations with your colleagues.

To find out more and apply visit the Peer Support page on the Staff Intranet.

The Peer Support initiative is part of the Mental Health Pilot Project which aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of local staff.
