Willie Waves A Final Farewell

Colleagues asked if we could wave a final farewell to Willie McLean who moved on from his role as a Staff Nurse in Livilands Resource Centre.

Willie began working 35 years ago as a healthcare support worker in Bellsdyke Hospital and was one of the first to complete the healthcare support worker pilot training programme in 1989. He worked in Bellsdyke until 2006 when he qualified as a Mental Health Nurse. He spent a short time in ward 18 in Falkirk prior to spending 6 years in the Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit (ICPU).

Willie then moved onto the community and following his retirement in 2015, then became a Staff Nurse in Livilands Resource Centre. He is now moving to a new adventure in the private sector.

Willie is a highly valued colleague and will be missed by not just the team in Livilands but by many patients. Staff say they will miss his jokes (although not all of them as some were terrible!) as well as his support and encouragement and would like to wish him well in his new role.
